The Great Kub Hunt
Just a simple music backed video of a recent mission I flew to find and destroy some SA-6 Gainfuls (2K12 "Kub" tactical SAMs) and SA-11 Gadflys (9K37 Buk tactical SAMs) which utilize the ActMobile scripting in a custom branch of SkynetIADS. Nothing like hunting down SAM's which can not only shoot, but move, and use ambush tactics!!! Great fun!

Well I saw the size of that hole mid-video and I have to disagree with you. I think that big hole DID sink that ship. I mean - if I had a hole that big in me I'd probably sink. Floating would not be my strong point. I might manage a graceful capsize but plummetting to the bottom would be more the order of the day. I'd probably manage that quite well. I will say though - these Mk 14 torpedos are much more reliable in game than they were in real life. I don't know if you've already seen it, but Drachinifel's video - The Mk 14 Torpedo. Failure is like Onions - is well worth a watch.

Extended radar gives +4 seconds. Which makes a difference of 1 extra volley on target. Worth it imo

Why did you leave world of warships pc?? Now there's only me, UrChaosBringer without UrPeaceKeeper around which makes it really awkward! You need to make a comeback Whiskey. I left console after you reached out to Spartan Elite43 for me, which sadly he's fully woke dude decided to lop off his manhood.
I left because the game was repetitive and WG made it very clear they had no intentions of changing the game. Meanwhile, I saw the increased monetization of the game and knew the direction it would go, and did go. A lot of it had to do with doing Super Test as well... I was prohibited from making content on ships the Community Contributors were releasing content on... ships I was actively testing live. When I cornered the head of the ST program about how much BS it was, I was told that I could leave the ST program and "attempt" to get into the CC program... implying heavily it wouldn't happen. After having spent too much money on the game, that was their response... I don't see me ever going back either as I don't feel they have adequately addressed the excessive monetization policy.

Important point to note: losing gun range has a positive effect on concealment, So it's not pointless. The torp speed of kagero is actually increased, just had to unlock the second torpedo type.

an S300/400 never would operate alone it would be integrated in an IADS with short and medium SAMs around it to protect it from such threads like low flying aircraft..thats what DCS player get wrong....
Yes... and no... as someone who has rebuilt the Soviet Era IADS using Google Earth, that certainly depends on the era. This particular site is protected under the envelope of ANOTHER S-300 near Gudauta... allegedly there are either SA-19, or SA-22 (Pantsir) at these sites, but unlike the S-400 in Kaliningrad, which those systems are visible, none are visible here. Doesn't mean they aren't in a garage somewhere, they just aren't visible... and being in a garage is a bad place for SHORAD. Further, this technique isn't able to be countered by these systems at this particular site as IRL the trees make it impossible to see out over the water. Even an SA-19 at this site in game is going to struggle. The 15 is similarly going to struggle but do better. I have run this very technique against SA-20A and B in DCS defended by every ounce of SHORAD in the game and still made it through thanks to the short presentation time to those threats. MANPADS make it difficult on the pop up but are generally not at these sites. IRL, in the 80s when the S-300 was rolling out replacing SA-2 and SA-3, they were initially protected by ZSU-23 and SA-19. The SA-15 was never attached to the S-300 Air Defense Brigades or Regiments. At any rate, doing this over land is significantly easier thanks to terrain masking. Having made a point to destroy these systems in DCS campaigns and Liberations which set up full blown IADS, the tactic is repeatable. :) Hope that helps! Maybe I'll do a video on the Google Earth map I have of the Soviet Era IADS. Always fun to discuss SAMs! :)
